I think Joseph answered your question about the dial-up connection. As for your BookShare question, there was a free update for the Classic, Keysoft 7.5 Build 31, and you can go to the link below to read more about it:

Subject: [Braillenote] Classic Voicenote

Hi,

Looks like I'll be sending my Empower in for service. In the
meantime I'll be using my classic Voicenote 7.5 27. For the
heck of it I plugged in my wireless card and of course it didn't
recognize it. Oh well, I tried. So, I assume I'll need to plug
the unit into a phone line. Now here's a stupid question, will I
need a dial up account? Or how would that work. Our home system
is satellite. Perhaps I'll just have to reconcile myself to no e
mail on my VN until my Empower returns.

Also, the classic is not unpacking Bookshare books. I recall
that was a problem when Bookshare "improved" their site. Do any
of you know if there is a fix yet so I can unpack books on the
Classic?

Thanks for any direction you can give me.

Kim
