Hi, all. I told my husband about the cable with the two USB plugs that Robert used to plug into the Apex. My husband had such a cable for our USB CD player, so we tried it out with the WD Passport and plugging both USB connectors into the Apex. Almost instantly the Apex recognized the hard drive, whereas with card readers and only one USB connection, it takes a couple minutes to recognize the connection. So it really does seem to be a power thing with the USB ports.

Just thought I'd report in, in hopes that this will help Humanware solve the problem.
