What type of markers were inserted in the files? Were they actual text or were they bn specific placemarkers? Also, in what format were the files saved? If they were saved in anything other than keyword Braille or keyword text, and the markers were bn placemarkers, they will not be there anymore.

Just as a side note, this is also true for language markers.

Nicole

Subject: [Braillenote] Older Bible Files And Newer Braillenotes

Years ago someone was nice enough to modify text files of the NIV Bible so that chapters and verses were easily searchable in the Braillenote. We still have these files, which a friend used on her BrailleNote prior to the mPower upgrade, which she never took. Pardon my limited knowledge in the upcoming sentences, since I'm new to the Braillenote, having just received my Apex. We still have the files, but the markers that make them searchable don't show up on the Apex, and I don't recall if they do on my wife's mPower. If modified on the mPower with Keysoft version 7, will the Apex read them properly? Alternatively, does anyone have indexed NIV Bible files that the Apex recognizes?
