I hate Eloquence on the Apex but find that, except for some pauses when reading drive names or other certain items, kng works just fine. Error tones are delayed some, but that does not affect speech.

Have a great day,

Subject: [Braillenote] SPEECH ON THE APEX

Hi all,

I was wondering how you're all finding the speech on the Apex?

When first we heard Eloquence in demo mode, we were quite impressed. However, we have of course now really put Apex through some paces and find that reading of documents is really quite choppy. This is a shame because Eloquence is much nicer to listen to on the Apex than Keynote Gold. I loved Keynote Gold on the mPower but am less than impressed on the Apex.

I suppose a lot of this is down to personal taste and maybe to the smaller speakers, but I do hope that HW are still intending to try to tweak the speech settings to make things even better for us and certainly to take away
some of the pauses when reading longer documents.

I just hope Humanware are also reading these comments.
