Low battery warnings on the Apex seem to be very scarce!

Subject: [Braillenote] power calibration again on Apex
This may have been covered and I missed the message. I used my
Apex for maybe three hours yesterday. Before I plugged the
adapter in for it to recharge, the power gauge said 11% As soon
as I plugged it in, the power gauge said that it was charging and
the power gauge was at 75%. I did not get a low battery warning
or anything like that when it was unplugged. Any explanations?
