Non-scientific Email receive test between a voicenote and Apex units. I have had the feeling that the Apex takes longer to receive email than my old VoiceNote. I only used speech on the Apex and of course the voiceNote only has speech as it's output. I used the stopwatch on each unit to time the other while it was receiving the same set of emails. On both units I received 54 emails 1 larger than 50k. On the Voicenote, I received the total number of emails in 1 minute 22 seconds with a WyFy signal strength of minus 51 DB. The Apex took 1 minute 38 secconds to receive the same amount of email using WyFy at the same signal level of minus 51 DB. Interestingly one email was larger than my 50k setting for email size which meant that I had to hit enter on both units for the email to continue which I did imediately. The Apex decoded the larger email whereas the voicenote was unable to do so even though the attachment was some sort of strange maybe image file called Armando's logo 200px I would be interested to know other peoples experiences receiving emails on Apex or older HW notetakers.
