Hi folks,

I just spoke to Access Enginuity; according to a rep, my Apex is being
shipped at the moment to my school (UCR). This means that I can start
testing and reporting my findings starting tomorrow (BTW, BrailleNote Apex
is actually the real birthday gift for my twentieth birthday.).

As a way of saying thanks to those who have reported their findings, I plan
to produce an audio "getting started" tutorial detailing Apex's operations.
Also, I plan to conduct some tests on the Apex, including:

. File download test - to see if I can download the files myself
from my own website (to answer Peter's question).

. Startup sound modifications test - to find an easier way to modify
system sounds, just like we have done with the mPower.

. System speed test - to see if I can notice any speed differences
between an mPower and an Apex.

. System info test - to see if there are additional settings under
Support info Mode to see if I can find something useful.

And so forth.

Also, I plan to conduct the Seventh BrailleNote Chat sometime in this summer
- mostly to talk about Apex and its impact. In addition, I'll gradually
transition my PBWorks articles to base them on Apex (either a brand new
version of the site will be created, or another new version of the site
(tentatively numbered 7.0) will be released).

Well, thanks for listening to my random writings.

I just want to take this time to once again congradulate HumanWare on
releasing this product. I also want to take this time to dedicate my Apex to
Alex, nicole and other "would-be" programmers (I plan to write my source
code using my Apex) - and a continued advocacy efforts ahead, including a
way to "shed light" on keySoft by creating ways to create useful contents.

Cheers,
