Hello to all, but perhaps especially to Joseph Lee, who, when I mentioned the trouble I was having with databases created on my Apex, and copying them for use on my PK, suggested that it might be related to the upgrading to the ce 6 platform. I am becoming convinced that he is almost certainly right. Today, having added information to a 28 column database on my Apex, i copied it first on to my western Digital hard-drive. I found that I could gain full use of this database direct from the hard-drive. I next took the cf-card from my PK, and using a card-reader, made a similar copy from the Apex on to it. Here again, I was able to access this database from the Apex while the card remained in my carc-reader. However, when the card was returned to my PK, all I could get was the message, "access denied. On checking, all my databases behaved similarly. It may well be that though the higher operating platform offers considerable development potential, it might, at the same time, create some incompatibility aspects. The best answer would be perhaps to consider upgrading the PK, but somehow I don't think that's likely. anyway, many thanks Joseph for your suggestion.
