Hi folks,
I'm enjoying my Apex (still testing few things out here).
As the subject says, I'm here to announce the update to the PBWorks site. The 6.11 release is mostly maintenance release - mom'for to fix some text, add few articles and so forth. Some of the changes as of this version include:
* Two new articles has been added to Support Hotline.
a. Tips on setting up a homewireless network: a few tips on setting up an optimal home wireless network so that a BrailleNote (including Apex) can connect to it. b. Using touch cursor buttons as time jump devices: A short article explaining that one can use braille touch cursors within media player to jump to a specific section of a media file. * Some fixes on some articles, mainly hardware compatibility list. * Few "in place" article titles are present under Support Hotline, namely instructions on setting up Gmail, procedure for upgrading KeySoft (mostly for Apex users in mind) and so forth. For these ones, Stll add them later (and introduce them at a later time). The website is, as it has always been, braillenote.pbworks.com. As I've said earlier, I will not be able to modify the site frequently (mostly because of workload for third quarter), but I'll keep your suggestions (and bugs) in mind and find some opportunity to maintain the site. Also, just a teaser: A brand new version is in drawing board stage right now (the one that I really require your input, especially Apex users). Due to be released before end of this year, this "version" will feature newer interface, cleaner text and dissolution of a section (I'm not telling you which). Also, the article basis will change (starting from that version, the articles will reflect features as of Apex; other models will still be honored).
Cheers,
Joseph
