Even on the MPower a 1 2 3 reset has always taken off the gps software. I
never use that reset unless I have to do something to the gps program like
install a newer version.

Subject: [Braillenote] A WARNING: RESET WITH DOTS 1-2-3...
Hi folks, especially those who were affected by this ROM Reset,
I would like to take this time to send apologies for causing this
dilemma in the first place... Thanks to Josh and Sam from
HumanWare, I just found out yet another side effect of this reset
(I'm not sure what is the technical name for it, but I'm guessing
it is Clean Reset). If you pererm this reset, not only
everything in ROM will be set to default configurations, but ALL
your extensions (optional apps) will be GONE. In other words, be
very careful as to what you are doing with this reset. I myself
am surprised at the amount of data it erases from memory (just
like Service Reset on the mPower).
A word for today: don't be TOO adventurous... Well, any
discovery (especially in engineering) starts with a curious mind;
but too much of it could backfire, as it happened td...
At least I want to thank HW staf (especially programmers) for at
least providing us a way of cleanly resetting everything to
default config (1-2-3 is more destructive than 4-5-6); I also
want to thank HW (and others) for answering our questions
(especially to Alex Bec). I love computer science...
Cheers,

P.S. At last figured out how to work with C++ classes now...
