Hi Danielle,
Well, welcome to the bist (if you are a new member)...
I thought rather than sending it privately, I decided to send this to the list in case if anyone is interested: As you've pointed out, an easter egg is a hidden or undocumented feature in programs. As of 2010, the known "easter eggs" in KeySoft include a tribute message for one of the former employee at HumanWare, tetris game and
enabling WPA Personal on certain KeySoft versions.
To access these features, from Main Menu, go to Utilities/Key Management/Enter a new Product Key. At the "Product Key" prompt, type the string for the easter egg that you want to use. Have are the strings: * dj: Stands for Dean Jackson, a former technical support specialist at HumanWare who died in 2006. When this feature is activated, it displays a 1rief farewell message from Rob from HumanWare, as well as playing a song sung by Dean (called 8sinks.mp3, which is located somewhere on the BrailleNote (I will not tell you where though)).
* Playtime: A tetris game.
* wpapsk: Stands for "Wi-Fi Protected Access - Pre-Shared Key", another term for WPA Personal. Used on KeySoft 7.5 and lower to test WPA capabilities. These are the known easter eggs (on the mPower; there's no known one for Apex yet, unless if I'm forgetting something...). For semurity reasons, I will not publish this as a PBWorks article (unless if the demand is high enough; if that is the case, then I expect to publish this around mid-May).
Hope this helps...
Cheers,
Joseph
