I received a note back from Humanware to the effect that this is a problem with audio-only DAISY books in general and that they're working on fixing it.

Hi all, I just loaded Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic's DAISY book of "Sams Teach Yourself Perl in 21 Days" into my Apex. This book is almost 700 pages in length and has a reading time of almost 36 hours based on the Info display on the Apex. I tried navigating to the "Day 2" heading, listened for a minute or so, and then E-chorded my way out of the book. When I reopened the book, the braille display showed the section heading I had left from, but pressing G-chord caused the book to start reading from the beginning. I thought this book reader was supposed to remember your place when you last closed your book. Has anybody else experienced this issue? Should I send a bug report to Humanware?
