Hello:

Anyone know how to get the Braille Note Apex to emboss to the Index Basic-D?
We've got two Basic-Ds, one a bit older than the other. On the older one, I
tried using a USB to Parallel converter, recommended by Humanware, and I kept
getting an error message that said, "Embosser Error: The specified device or
network resource is unavailable. So, I connected the Apex to the Basic-D using
Serial connections, set all of the parameters so they agree -- 9600 Baud, 8
data bits, one stop bit, no parity, software handshaking. When I did that, the
Apex tells me that embossing is complete on the file I try to emboss, but I get
no hard copy Braille. The Basic-D is on-line. I'm told by HW that I should be
able to emboss to the newer Basic-D with the USB to Parallel cable, but I don't
want to believe that without testing it and our newer basic-D isn't here right
now. We don't have a Bluetooth to Parallel converter right now.

Any ideas?
