Sure here's what I did. When I was ready to translate the file, I went to the translation menu through file manager. Chose export. Device is file. File type Microsoft word. Directory name. File name was the same as original file, and it added .doc as it should have. Pressed enter there after typing file name and got message that one file was exported.
When I entered the Word file, I noticed that the last paragraph. I did it again on another file just to see what would happen. Fortunately it's not one I need to do anything with... Same results... Hope this helps. It was the one time I tried using the Apex to create a Microsoft Word file. I don't remember for certain whether I started from a Grade 2 Keyword file and exported it to Word via the translation menu or tried to save directly as a Word document, but I'm just about positive I remember losing something in the process. Can you clarify your specific steps so I can try replicating your results. If we can do this in a reproduceable fashion, I would be for sending Humanware the findings because I'm sure this is something they would want to correct. I wrote the file in keyword and translated it into Mocrosoft word. When I proofread the file, I noticed that the last paragraph was missing. As i said, it was very small, and I did manage to get it all copied onto the PC with the rest of the report. Has anyone else had any problems with parts of a file not translating?
