the (an unusual file) thread,
The compactflash card I have, is from back in the braillenote classic
days. The last time I did an upgrade on the braillenote classic, I had
asked someone on the list, if it was safe to remove the files to which
I had downloaded onto the card in order to do the upgrade, and they
said that it was safe to remove them, being that I wasn't likely to be
needing to use the cf card again for upgrading. I have two of these
64MB cards, and I now use them soley as storage cards on my MPower. The
second cf card, doesn't have the pdiboot.exe file.

It is a reboot exe file then it sounds as if it is something for your
computer.
You should be able to remove it safely.

It sounds like a keysoft thing; look at the letters: P D I Boot, or
PulseData International Boot; hw used to be called p d i until some 5
or 6 years ago. Instead of erasing it, try moving it off the card. If
nothing happens, do not put it back, but if things start acting
strangely, you have the file you cut from the card to put back on the
card.
