Hi,

Oh, I see why - could it be that there was inward pressure when the unit is
opened? In other words, you might push the card accidentally when you open
the unit from its case.

I wouldn't say the Apex "fixes" the problem, but the sd card fits much more
securely in the Apex than in the mPower.  Having lost cards out of both my
mPower and my BookSense, I've become fanatical about checking.  Many times I
found the card half-way out of my mPower, but in the past two months, that
hasn't happened once with my Apex.  I continue to check and occasionally
back up the card's contents on to my hard drive, for a bit of added peace of
mind.
