Great. Thanks Joseph, as always.

Hi Carol,
Currency conversion... Thanks for reminding me about
that. That'll be a definite feature to have you select
money amount in different currencies - dollar (U.S.),
pound sterling (U.K.), Euro (for Europe) and others. As
for discontinuation of checks, I can envision so-called
E-Checks replacing these, which would be a major
modification to our code (since I and others need to
adjust how checks are handled)...
Cheers,
Joseph

Hi Joseph,
Here in the UK we have a date when cheques will cease.
Yes, it's a few years hence, but it is going to happen ...
Meantime, it's a good little project for you to work on
and I wholeheartedly
support it.
Don't forget us UK users, and those in Australia. I'm
talking about pound signs specifically here ... As long
as it works, I'll be happy to play a dummy run, though in
reality I just don't use cheques these days.

Subject: [Braillenote] KeySoft Checkbook: looking for
developers...
Hi BrailleNote users, Humanware staff and others,
As a fun project and as a way of giving back to the
community, I and Alex Hall decided to write the KeySoft
emulation of Blazie notetakers' Checkbook program. In
this respect, we need help - especially from users who
are C++ or Java programmers in helping us out with this
project, as well as words from BrailleNote users as to
what features should we the developers add in this
program.
As of now, the tentative plan is:
* Create a mini database, or a container of checks, each
with check number, check amount, recipient and comments.
* Allow users to add new checks, view their current
balance and a history of checks.
At least for now - something similar to Money Talks
technology with interface suited for KeySoft. Looking
forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
Joseph (UCR)
