Thank you very much for sharing this answer with everyone. I have an SD card that somehow got into the read only mode when I put into my PC. I figured out from your note what happened and was able to change it back to read/right.

Orient the sd card so that the rough ridges are facing you and toward the floor, then slide the card into the slot. You should feel the resistance of a spring, but if the card stops cold, you have it oriented wrong. The read/write switch is on the right edge of the card if the card is oriented to fit into the slot. Use a fingernail to move the switch. When it is closer to the ridges, the card is in read/write mode. Moving it away from the ridges puts the card into read-only mode.
