Hi, It appears that Josh is still planning to go ahead with his project. What we are seeing now is that users themselves are taking the cause after HW's lack of response diminished their stands. The results are not easy to predict, although we can sort of gauge where this discussion might go - fight between open-source and closed platform, debates on security of KeySoft, programmability of BrailleNote and a message on other lists advocating for their products to be opened up under GPL license. About Josh: He plans to study computer science at a university this fall. Cheers, Joseph

I've been one of the first to criticize HW for their lack of participation on this list, but I really do think they have gotten better at responding to email tech support inquiries in a timely manner, even if the response might not always be the one for which we are looking. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joseph Lee" <[email protected]> To: "'Josh Kennedy'" <[email protected]>, <[email protected]> Date: Wednesday, Sep 8, 2010 12:48:49 Subject: RE: [Braillenote] humanware ignoring messages > > > Hi, > Maybe HW couldn't find a right person who can respond to your message.
