Hi folks, particularly social networking and IM fans,
I'm delighted to announce the release of the social networking version of
the PBWorks site - version 7.1! In this release:
* Few more commands were added in the Command Summary Table.
* A new article on formatting an SD card (mPower and apex) is now available.
* A comparison article on various PDA's, as well as technical specs of each
BrailleNote model is now available.
* Web Terminal has been revised - it now has a section on instant messaging
and social networking, as well as links to Ebuddy and mobile version of
Facebook, as well as KeyWeb homepage.
* A link to a blog article is now up on front page (this will be moved to
proper location later).
* Few spelling mistakes and hardware information has been updated.
Changed from last beta:
* The websites of Ebuddy, Facebook and KeyWeb homepage has been added on the
site.
* The link for future of notetakers has been added on front page.
Few teasers for upcoming version (tentatively codenamed Galileo):
* A revised Program Library to showcase some of the programs that we (the
programmers) are working on, as well as ones we have created.
* Inclusion of Planner, address List and KeyMail commands under Command
Summary.
* New podcasts on upgrading Apex.
* Major revision to current Support Hotline articles to combine
application-specific issues into a single page per program, as well as
adding sections of articles via anchors.
As for the future version, I expect to release it before end of this year -
a minor revision after this would be the third anniversary edition. I'd also
like to announce that PBWorks Galileo would be the final version to include
new content for Classic, with a major version following Galileo to be the
last version to support PK. mPower will be supported until a year after the
release of the final build of the last SMA for that unit.
