First, try hitting space with the outer left thumb key to turn off
speech; hit this a few times and see what happens. Keep hitting it
until you hear "speech on" to get speech back. Next, try pressing
space with the outer right thumb key to toggle braille. Failing that,
go to options, hit space-i to enter support information mode, and hit
x to exercise the display. If this does not work after a moment, press
space-e to exit the mode, then exit a few more times to get out of
support information and out of the options menu. That is all I can
think of, unfortunately. Best of luck, and let us know what happens.
