Hi,
Here are the steps to get your bn RFB key.
Note: I'd recommend you use a laptop or pc because you have to
type the key manually.
1. Go the wwwddrfbdddorg and go to member login.
2. Log in, then go to my account.
3. Go to authorize a DAISY player.
3. If you have an empower, select humanware braillenote. If you
have an apex select humanware braillenote apex. Then hit the
continue button.
4. Type in the last six digits of your serial number if you're
an apex user, and the last five digits if your an empower user.
Note that if you are using an empower and aren't running ks 8
build 21, follow the link RFB gives you and download that upgrade
first. If that doesn't apply to you, don't worry about it.
5. A code should appear on the page RFB brings you to. Keep in
mind that you cannot download this file, you must manually enter
it on your bn.
6. Assuming you're using a pc or laptop, leave that window open,
and on your bn from the main menu go to the utilities menu, then
k for key management.
7. Then hit e to enter a product key.
8. Type in the code that is on the RFB page and press enter.
That should be it. If I missed anything let me know.
Maybe someone like Alex might have an alternative method, but
since I'm not an expert, this is the best one I could come up
with.
