Not sure if this is what you are looking for; but, using Sendero GPS 2010 on 
the Apex, one can hit the letter R and then the letter I from within an open 
route to get route information, including the estimated arrival time.  You can 
also hit R A E from within a route to get route distance and estimate time of 
arrival from the current position to end of route.  And, finally, from within a 
route, one can hit, on the BT Apex, dots 1 4 6 to get the distance to your 
destination and percentage of route completed and ETA.
