I completely agree.

Subject: [Braillenote] Talk of upgrades.

Greetings to all, I am becoming increasingly concerned at the
recent discussion regarding additional facilities to be made
available in future upgrades for the Braillenote family of
products. Much as I find these conjectures both interesting and
indeed stimulating, I feel it right to remind us all that this
potentially great device, I refer to the Apex, became available
in January of this year. Many more expert than myself have
discovered a plethora of basic faults with this device, I
personally can't list them all, but they include: defects in
certain printer programs, compared with the Mpower; a "find and
replace" facility, which doesn't work properly; trouble with
copying databases for use on other Humanware products; to name
but 3 defects. Surely, before moving on to attractive more
advanced facilities these basics should be put right. What we
should be pressing for is this seemingly constantly promised
Free, Corrective Upgrade; then will be the time to move on; not
before.
Don Cooper.
