KeyMail is not a very good email client, all things considered. Even so, your objective is to allow BrailleNote to selectively delete messages. To do this, make sure that "If in the trash folder" is selected as the answer to the "Delete email from server after receiving?" question, in the Receive options, in KeyMail setup. Now, trash the messages you want deleted from your POP server, then receive your new mail. KeyMail uses the Message-Id header in the messages it downloads to determine whether or not it already has a copy, and only retrieves messages it doesn't yet have. Those messages it has but that are in the Trash folder on your device will be marked deleted on the POP server (which occurs when the session ends). When the session is over, feel free to empty your trash. Please be aware that this algorithm is somewhat flawed, since it relies on Message-Id headers, which aren't guaranteed to be either unique or present. As such, you could still end up with messages you thought you'd trashed. This should be rare, but it's possible. KeySoft should really be supporting the UIDL POP3 extension (RFC 1939) and others, ideally preferring a selective mail download by default as many smartphones today do. But it doesn't.
