Here are my understandings of three of the majors, absent Google
or any look-up:
(1) Operating System: Instructions installed by the manufacturer
deep within the computer (BrailleNote) as its central brain.
(2) Windows 3: Standard operating system, (brain) for mobile
devices such as "personal digital assistants" (original being the
Palm Pilot) cell phones, and purchased by Humanware from
Microsoft for BraillNote.
(3) Keysoft: That part of the operating system, brain, written
by Humanware and owned by Humanware, permitting braille input or
braille output.

Hi folks,
Just out of curiosity, I'd like to ask if you can describe (using
your own
words or understanding) what the following terms mean (please
share this to
the list so we may know):
* Computer program.
* Programming.
* KeySoft.
* Windows CE.
* Networking.
* BrailleNote.
* Software compatibility.
* operating system.
* Software development.
If you don't know these terms, that's fine. If you know (or
think you
understand) what those terms mean, try your best "guess" i.e.
use your own
understanding to define what the above terms mean. Your feedback
will be
used to improve communication between users and "geeks."
Cheers,
Joseph P.S. Geeks, I bet you know what these terms mean...
