First: Welcome To the List AND TO THE BN/VN/PK Family.!.!
Second: Your Bn Issue.
I don't Believe I'd be Concerned about a one second delay after
pressing reset no reset can hurt the BN/VN.
Tell me this please do you have the bn running on battery right
now or do you have the AC Adapter Plugged into the Electricity?!?
Sometimes when my vn's Battery is low it will move a bit slower.
Sometimes it's very hard to get connected or reconnected to one's
wireless system.
Whether or not your machine is running on battery or is plugged
into the electricity follow the directions below.
Note: I don't know Qt equivalents.
1: go to the main menu by pressing space with dots (1-2-3-4-5-6).
2: Do a hot or hard reset by pressing the reset button down and
holding down dots (4-5-6). When you hear the chime let up dots
(4-5-6).
3: When your machine says main menu press the letter (e) by
pressing dots (1-5).
4: Then you'll be at the keymail / email menu press the letter
(s) by pressing dots (2-3-4). That will take you to the keymail /
email setup menu.
5: then press the letter (f) by pressing dots (1-2-6).
Your machine will say:
Freeing Database Space, please wait?!? Freeing Database Space,
Please Wait?!?
Then It will do progress beeps and eventually say how much space
it freed (NOTE: Don't listen to it if it says it freed zero
bites) that's a quirks nobody knows why it says that.
6 Then go back to the main menu either by pressing space with the
letter (e) that space with dots (1-5) until you hear your bn say
main menu or:
7 Go back to the main menu by pressing space with dots
(1-2-3-4-5-6).

No, other than that it is fine.
It takes longer to establish a wireless connection than before,
but I'm assuming this is because of the reinitialization. Am I
correct on that one?
