I have received that message before. It isn't an email but I am
not sure what this is. I get that message more when I am down
loading a lot of email. Or if I haven't freed up some pace in
the database.

When I'm receiving emails I occasionally get the message
"error receiving email the operation has been completed
successfully".
That particular email isn't appearing in my in-box.
I have an Apex running the latest KS.
Any thoughts?
