Hi Marsha,
I deffinately apprecate any help for this. I know my Blazer still works, and I wish to use it now. I was jsut thinging that the Serial cable that comes with the mpower is a 9 pin male cable and the blazer manual says that the serial connection is a 25 pin female. The adapter that comes with the braille note mpower is a 9 pin female connector with a 25 pin male connector on the other end. Iw as thinging that in theory the adaptor should fit into the serial port on the braille blazer, I'll try that, and if no success, I'lll try the paralel cable. At least there's someone else out there who's still trying to use this older technology its a good little embosser.
Carrie

Carrie,
My cable is at work so I will let you know the cable number tomorrow. I think HW may have it listed on their web site too. The USB goes in the BN and the parallel goes in the Blazer.

HI MArsha,
Have you tried this method by using the usb to paralel or serial.
If so, which cable and do you konw what the model number it is.
I need to know so that I can make sure get the correct cable this male and
female connnections gets me confused.
Thanks
Carrie

So if you use the braille blazer with the computer via usb, then do you must
select the paralel or serial port based on which cable you choose.
I think that the cable I might still have is the paralel one and I also have the 9 pin bn serial cable and the adapter to connect the serial 9 pin to an
25 pin adapter.
I think myblazer still works, I wish to use it, but i just need to know
exactly which cables model numbers and exactly connectors to get to connect
my bn and the comptuer with ubs and serial 9 pin female ports on each
computer and bn nothing has parlel ports on it.
Any help would be appreciated.
THanks
Carrie

You can get a USB to parallel cable and it will work.

andBraille Note Mpower together

Hi,
As the subjet line says, I'd like to use my Braille Note mpower to emboss
documents with my braille blazer.
I'm not sure which cables I still have from the braille blazer days. I
just need someone to tell me which exact cables I'll need to accomplish
this task, and what type of connections they need to have in order
toaccomplish this. If I ened to replace some cables I need to know which
exact ones to get so that it will work.

I believe I for sure Have the power chord and maybe either the serial or
parallel chords.
I can't find either the serial or parlallel chrords.
I ahve only one of those but not sure which yet.

I also want to connect the braille blazer to a compuer pc with an serial
port that has a 9 pin port on it, I can use the 9 pin serial cable that
came with the braille note mpower for this task
Please help.
THanks
Carrie
