Hi,
I'd say it's mostly due to HW's schedule, finding useful drivers or software
to accomplish what we want and so forth - kind of a combination between
availible resources and software development schedule.
Cheers,
Joseph

A search turned up a couple of interesting items not yet
mentioned.
First, ce6 supports voip natively. In fact, it seems that the
entire
source for the voip code in ce6 is available to developers.
2. Cellular radio support is built into the os, for connecting
to and
using cell towers of varying types.
3. CE6 has built in support for gps chips.
4. There are a lot of security and under-the-hood improvements
and
alterations that I barely understood, but seemed interesting
nonetheless.

 Hi,
A very tricky question - not exactly so, but it could be tricky
 answering
 this...
The potentials of CE6 is somewhat numerous. The first and
 foremost idea is
that the OS has provision for supporting native WPA2 and AES for
 network
encryption. From what I read, this is a more secure combination
 than WPA
Personal with TKIP. Second, it supports exFAT (an improved
 version of FAT
designed for flash memory devices), which means that larger
files
 can be
created on storage cards and USB flash drives (and I confirmed
it
 is in fact
supported). Third, the provision for better memory management
 and process
space; as we've said, no more virtual memory error - just some
 slowdowns.
This means that we can work with larger files (although current
 tests shows
that there is no noticeable difference between mPower and Apex
 when it comes
to this), running more programs (subject to RAM capacity limit)
 and slightly
 secure OS internals.
Those are the ones I can think of at the moment. Anything else,
 folks?
 Cheers,
 Joseph

Hi list, especially Joseph and other techies. I have noticed
that us geeks seem to talk about "potential" that hasn't been
tapped into yet on the apex. Because of windows ce 6.0, what
kind of things could the apex potentially do that it isn't right
now? I know that we have the potential of more power saving
options, multi-tasking, pdf files, and word 2007, but what else
could Windows ce 6.0 allow the apex to do someday?
