Hi,
That - it is actually called JAWS PC Keyboard emulator mode. Mostly used on
JAWS to simulate QWERTY keyboard and for typing. Other screen readers does
not require this mode to be active when using it. And this is not a console
app at all - just another name for using a BrailleNote as a braille display
(haven't found the QT command for it, sorry).
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] keyboard emulation mode

The emulation mode, invoked with space+I while in terminal mode, doesn't
enhance iPhone access at all, in fact it prevents it.

So under what if any circumstances is this mode of any use with modern
software and hardware?

I'm assuming it has a use or two.

Dean
