I was just trying to figure out my external hard drive and it can be formatted to fat. But in most of the experiences from list list do the drives come with a lot of pre installed programs or files? My c-gate came with movie files and other things I haven't got around to checking out yet. There was a set up file. So far I haven't done anything with it except plug it into my apex. I wasn't able to get it to work so I tried the computer. It worked there but decided not to reformat just yet. To get this back on track bn wise I tried plugging it in while my unit was off and on. My 1 TB also only came with a usb cable which I though would have come with a wall charger as well. Write off list if this is to off topic.

Hello Malaina,
There is nothing you can do accept plug it in to the apex and see
if it is going to work.
If it is not a drive that has fat or fat 32 it will not work with
the apex.
As far as your laptop, all you have to do is plug it in and it
should recognize it.

Subject: [Braillenote] 1 tb external hard drive

I just got a 1 tb external hard drive. I haven't done anything
with it yet. What is the best way to go about insuring I can use
it on both my apex qt and my vista laptop? Thanks,

malaina
