I have found this as well. It usually takes longer on a more secure network (little time on an open network, more on WEP, and far too long on WPA). However, this is not a rule; sometimes, the same problem will happen on an open network. I also find myself losing connectivity, or being connected but not able to get to a website. A reset usually fixes the problem, but I have never seen a computing device need so many resets! I, too, hope this is all improved in 9.1 (or whatever they call the next version).
