Correct. It is usually Javascript (Google can tell you more than you
ever want to know about it). Basically, scripting is a way to run
limited programs on webpages. It is how my calculator and other pages
work, it drives a lot of form validation and submition, and more.
While disabling it can help in some situations, make sure to re-enable
it when you are done or you will find things not working right,
especially if you are dealing with forms.
