Hi,
Check if the preferred grade (under Braille Options) is set to grade 2, and if the preperred keyboard setting is set to same. Also, if you are writing in a text field (via computer braille), one way to enter computer braille mode is by pressing BACKSPACE with J; to return to grade 1 or grade 2, press BACKSPACE with A or BACKSPACE with B, respectively.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] can anyone help with this

When I first got my braillenote apex, I could change the grade of Braille from 2 to computer Braille to enter email addresses. I also could name files and put numbers in them. Now, when I use the lower case letters say dots 2 3 5 for the number six I hear exclaimation point. I want to hear number 6. what grade of Braille do I use there? All I really want to do is get the unit to work like it did when I first got it. Can anyone detail the settings I need to change to get this to happen?
