I tried the Apex at my local coffee shop earlier today. It worked great! On the old version of KS 9.0, I could not log in as I needed to use a password provided by the business. Today, I got the password, logged in, was able to listen to NPR and email HW support at the same time to report that yes, in fact the ks 9.1 is a significant improvement over 9.0 in terms of WiFi and use of email.
Yesterday, I got the ks 9.1 on my PC. First, I downloaded and installed the license key, then I downloaded the software. I first copied the license key to a USB thumb drive and installed that. Second, I copied the ks 9.1 software to the thumb drive and installed that in the Apex which, like Peter said, took about five minutes, reporting the progress as it went along. There may be some bugs in the software but I haven’t found them yet, and yes, it doesn’t support all we want like .docx files or Skype or some other VOIP protocol, but it is a significant step and HW is to be strongly commended for their efforts on this. And this comes from one who is not hesitant to criticize them in the past. Thank you Humanware and keep em coming! Best regards, Jim Gammon ___ Replies to this message will go directly to the sender.
