Hi folks, mostly webmasters,
It's been about three years since the launch of the BrailleNote
PBWorks site (braillenote.pbworks.com). Since January 2008, the
site has grown into a depository of useful information, with over
fifty articles and a page dedicated for recordings about
BrailleNote. However, due to difficulty with content design and
to create more flexible website, I decided to move onto a
different host/hosting service. Thus, this year - 2011 - might
be the last year with PBWorks - after this, I'll move the site to
a new, cheaper host. So, the upcoming PBWorks version (codenamed
"Central") will be the secod to last major update to the
BrailleNote PBWorks site.
As well as creating a better user site for BrailleNote, I'm
committed to creating domains for other users and products,
including Alex H's Gateway to Somewhere and a website for users
of competetors. So stay tuned for updates on this site
development.
As for the next website for BrailleNote, I'm in the process of
searching accessible, cheap website host that'll allow me to host
unlimited content and show mobile-friendly site for BrailleNote's
KeyWeb browser. So far, GoDaddy and HostGator appear to be the
host I might go with - unless others have suggestions. Also, I'm
looking for suggestions on website name and the website address -
whatever the users want, I'll put it up as the site's name. The
last thing I need would be content that you would like to see -
menus, articles, multimedia, etc.
Because of schoolwork, I expect to not start working on it until
summer - with the release target of the new site being some time
in the second half of this year. Thanks for your considerations.
