Hi, Rick and List,

I hope Aple and HumanWare work together to solve the problem. HumanWare and GW Micro are working together to resolve the problem of using the Apex as a display with WindowEyes. I understand your wife's disappointment.

Fortunately, I like to use my Apex as a notetaker. I can use something else as a braille display until the problem is solved.

Subject: [Braillenote] No Joy for BrailleNote QT and iPhone Users In theUpcoming iPhone IOS

Forgive me if this duplicates any info already posted to this list, since
I'm very far behind on email.
The release candidate of the iPhone operating system update is out, and the
key commands which were broken in the KeySoft 9.1 update are still broken.
This only affects QT owners, but it's a shame that the changes Humanware
introduced in the update weren't coordinated with Apple so that users
wouldn't lose this important functionality.
My wife tested it yesterday and confirmed that this update from Apple won't
fix the problem. The actual software update from Apple comes next Friday,
but don't hold your breath waiting for the fix. Apparently not this time.
Too bad, since Deb's primary use for the BrailleNote was as a display for
the iPhone. She'd desperately love to roll back to an older KeySoft version, since she can no longer use her BrailleNote for this purpose. It worked fine
till the upgrade.
