For example, if my internet dies, is there now a option that will allow you to
tell Keychat to tign you back on as soon as internet connnection is back?

No. In fact, KeyChat is very lousy about keeping the connection alive. When the server
finally closes the connection due to perfectly ordinary inactivity, KeySoft will then
declare, "Lost connection for instant messaging". You'll have to get into the
habit of opening KeyChat from time to time to make sure it's still running.
