I must disagree. It *is* necessary for HumanWare to have a representation
on the list. For one thing, it shows an active interest on their part. If
no one from HumanWare is actively interested in communicating with its
customers, then my assumption is they are not interested in our needs or
feedback. It's a slap in the face for us to pay thousands of dollars for
equipment and receive no feedback or communication from the company. We
used to have excellent representation from HW, but not anymore.
Sure we have people on the list who can help us with problems, but they're
not representatives of HW and they don't get any money from HW. No, HW
needs its own representatives to respond to topics presented on the list.
The absence of such people from HW is inexcusable.

Hi, I know that the Australian member of Humanware is watching this list.
He doesn't normally write to list but if I'm having an issue that I write
to the list about then I normally get a email from him rather quickly.
I don't mind that we don't have humanware staff writing as long as they
are reading to get some ideasof what we want. Most of the time people
write to the list with a problem and other members can help with it so it
isn't necessary for a humanware member to entre in the conversation.
