Good Day:

The only problem of which I am aware is with the download of books from the NLS bard web site. Books can be successfully unpacked and read on the BrailleNote. According to Humanware, research is being conducted to fix the problem with downloads, so that one will be able to download, extract and read any desired book on the one device. I have used flash drives, the internal flash disc and an SD card with equal facility. In fact, if you listen to the presentation of KeySoft 9.1, available on several web sites, you will hear one of the presenters from Humanware opening a book on a flash drive, which leaves me completely mystified as to why two people from the technical support department would have said it didn't work. Evidently, some quality inspections need to be conducted on that department. As to my quote about education, I find it applies to various situations. (smile)

Hi;
I guess education never ends. When initially talking with humanware a few weeks ago a girl said there was a problem with nls and the braille note and they were waiting for nls to get things together. Don't hold your breath. I subsequently talked with another gentlemen in their tech support who said everything worked fine as long as you used an sd card. Do I understand that you have had no problem using both the existing
memory and a card?
its perplexing.

I must say that once I acquired the key, the BrailleNote loaded the books, even my 66-hour long book, in a matter of seconds. Fortunately, books do not have to be stored on SD cards. They can be stored on the internal 8 gb flash disc, on a thumb drive or on any other medium
through which the BrailleNote can access data.

Hi everyone;
The fact that there is a good menu option until you absorb those short cut keys is rather reassuring. Also, I was happy to hear that the unit ships with a braille set of commands. Sometimes nothing like good old
paper.
How has the unit performed with nls? Am I correct that when using nls you have to save the book to a sd card rather than the internal memory?
