Those show where a new line is, so getting rid of them will mean your
file has no hard returns in it at all. However, you can tell keysoft
to display them in one of a few ways. When in a document, go to the
options menu, then braille settings. Space down to "show new lines
as". The default is linear, which prints those symbols. I like "indent
1 cell", so that each line appears as a blank cell on the left of the
display. You can also indent 2 cells, or use multiple spaces to show
new lines. As usual with multiple options at a prompt, move through
the options here with space-3-4 or space-1-6, and press enter when you
are done, then exit the list (space-e).
