The characters seem to be random unicode between 0 and some number I
am not sure of. I have seen letters, control characters, and
everything. In fact, Peter's message this morning had one; I got a
delivery failure notice because the address
[email protected] does not exist. It seems almost
exclusive to mailing list addresses, though it could be that I just
sent more to this list than to other addresses back when I used
keymail. I now occasionally send from keymail and have not yet had
this happen since I switched to gMail.
