June 8 2011 is World IPv6 Day. Google, Facebook, Yahoo!, Bing, Akamai and Limelight, among many others, will turn IPv6 on for 24 hours as a "Test drive". The intent is to see what kinds of problems this will cause. A small number of users are guaranteed to be impacted by this, because their networks are misconfigured. Those users who experience problems should talk to their ISPs. Ideally, ask your ISP about plans to support IPv6, but if they show no interest, the best short-term course of action will be disabling IPv6.
I don't believe BrailleNote will be affected. BrailleNote doesn't have IPv6 support (but should!). However, since the Asia Pacific region doesn't have any more IPv4 addresses to hand out, unless BrailleNote gets IPv6 support, there will soon come a time when sites with just IPv6 access won't be accessible to BrailleNote. So, while I'm not in a total panic, I do think it's somewhat important to pay attention to the turn of events, and to have some sort of plan for IPv6 support. I hope it goes well for you on June 8.
