I would simply add one thing to what Alex stated for setting up the note takers to get gmail. If you have not already done so, you need to login to your gmail account, get into the area where your email can be found, and open the settings link. Then find the option to change Google's default imap mail option to using pop3 mail. At one time this could easily be done with your note taker device by changing from standard view to basic html view in your web mail area in Google but a few months ago Google changed something and you now have to jump through extra hoops to login to Google with a mobile device. I now use a regular computer when I wish to get into Google web mail, since it only requires the first part of your email address, the part before the at sign, as user and your password.

Subject: Re: [Braillenote] how to setup an email on your braillenote using keymail

Lorenna: go to the email menu by pressing e from the main menu. Press s for setup options, or o if you are on an apex with ks9.1 or later. Press d for directory of accounts, then a to add an account. Fill out
the information as you are prompted. Some notes:
1. Your username should be your full email address, including the
@gmail.com part.
2. The pop server is pop.gmail.com and smtp is smtp.gmail.com.
3. For both pop and smtp, say yes to "use a secure connection".
4. At the end, because you told it to secure pop and smtp, you will be
prompted for ports. The pop port is 995, the smtp port is 465.
5. Please note that using the receive options to tell the bn to delete email from the server after receiving will not work on a gmail account
for some reason.
Let us know how it goes.
