Check the adapter. If it is the two piece kind, make sure the two pieces are securely connected. Also check the outlet and that the adapter is firmly connected to the bn. Sometimes it can go in crooked and feel like it is secure, but in reality it is not in the socket enough to provide power. Also, try turning the unit off, plugging it in, waiting ten minutes or so, and turning it on.
There is no converter, unfortunately. I suggested this to hw some time ago, but they have not yet done it. Email support asking for this feature; as usual, the more interest, the more likely it is that we will see it.
