I have the tethering plan from A T and T, and I've finally gotten
my Sense products to work with the iPhone using WiFi to have an
internet connection when I'm out and about and away from my
computer. But, no matter what I've tried, I can't seem to get
the same type of connection to work with the Apex and my iPhone.
So, I thought I would list the settings used for my Sense
products, in case anyone has any ideas of what might be the
problem with my BN in this situation.
When I check the connection properties in the Sense product, the
first thing I see is the setup IP, and that is shown as being
automatic. Then, I see the network name or SSID, and that is
Vicky Collins's iPhone. But, the SSID does look a bit funny when
I read it. And, although I don't claim to know here, perhaps
there is a trademark sign or something in the name? And, then,
too, I've noticed the BN often has a problem reading the
apostrophe for some reason. So, perhaps between the two issues,
maybe somehow the SSID name isn't letting the BN connect, even
though the Sense products work just fine.
Moving on, after the SSID, the network mode is shown as being
infrastructure. The network authentication mode is WPA 2-PSK.
The data encryption is AES. And finally, I have an eight
character network key, and I've chosen to use all zero's, at
least for now.
