Hi Lori,

I'm very late replying to your message but I haven't seen any other responses on the list so hope this is still relevant.

You can get a good internet connection for the Apex through a smartphone, provided that the phone has Bluetooth and supports Bluetooth modem connection. The Nokia phones do this for example.

It's a little tricky to set up but well worth it to be able to connect anywhere.

You need to pair the Apex with the phone, and then find out the correct login details, user name and password, for the mobile network provider, and fill these into the new connection dialogue. You also need to cycle through the devices to use for that connection, until you find the name of your phone.

The Apex manual is reasonably good on the Bluetooth connection part.

If you need further help, then please Email me off-list at [email protected] as I don't follow the list very regularly.

Best,

Peter

Hi everyone,

I have a student that is starting to use an Apex. At home the only internet
they have is through plugging the computer into the mom's smart phone to
access the internet. Is it possible to do the same with the Apex. Can you
connect the Apex to her smart phone and get the internet for the Apex that
way? It seems possible but I am not sure. If so can you give me some
steps.

Thanks so much
