It's no problem having your router operate both WPA and WPA2 at the same time, and this is definitely preferred since you can choose which your client devices use if they will not choose automatically. I have no problem operating Apex on a router configured in this fashion. In fact, my home has three roaming access points in it, and the BrailleNote moves smoothly between them. In the matter of routers to use, my recommendation is that you go with technical ability that fits within your price range, regardless of whether or not the BrailleNote can configure it, unless it's the only device you have. In that case: 1. Consider wiring your BrailleNote directly to your Internet pipe if Ethernet, or 2. Get a router with a web interface that you can actually verify for yourself. Many modern routers use javascript extensively. My preference is for Apple's excellent Airport base stations, but they require software be run on Windows or Mac to set them up. Although of high quality, they are a little pricy and feature-sparse, as usual for Apple. If you get a Time Capsule or attach an external USB drive, be assured that the network disk support works just fine with Apex; get anonymous access with username of "Guest" and password of "Guest". The admin username is just "Administrator". Cheers, Sabahattin ___ Replies to this message will go directly to the sender.
