First, when you open the file, wait a few seconds before trying to do
anything (moving the cursor, making changes, reading, etc.). If the
freezes persist, send a message to [email protected] with as much
information as you can offer: type of hardware; version of software;
size of file; whether you're using AC or battery power; whether you
were just in some other program or whether you came directly to the
file after turning the unit on; and so on. They say they need more
detailed reports to help define the problem.

P.S. Also check the "none" folder on your flash disk. If there is
anything there other than the "keysoft" file (which holds clipboard
material), did you put the other files there? If not, report that to
Humanware as well. I understand that a cluttered "none" folder on
the flash disk is one of the currently suspected contributors to the
freezing problem. Of course, if your "none" folder contains no files
other than "keysoft", that will be helpful information as well.

A few times today my BN has frozen when I opened a rather large
ASCII text file and immediately tried to interact with it. I've had
to perform hardware resets to get the machine operating again. Is
there something I can do to fix this?
